Journal of Physical Science Recipient of CREAM Awards 2018

Journal of Physical Science, a publication of Penerbit Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM Press), has once again been picked as one of the recipients of the Current Research in Malaysia (CREAM) Awards 2018 by the Ministry of Education Malaysia.

This is the third consecutive year the journal bagging the awards, after winning it in 2016 and 2017.

Introduced in 2015, CREAM Awards are accorded to identified scholarly journals in Malaysia showcasing high performance and promising potential.

The award ceremony was held on 25 October 2018 at Sama Sama Hotel, KLIA, Sepang, Malaysia at 2.30 pm. The Editor-in-Chief of Journal of Physical Science, Prof. Dr. Abdul Latif Ahmad, was present to receive the award.

Journal of Physical Science Recipient of CREAM Awards 2017

We are delighted to inform our readers that the Journal of Physical Science is once again the recipient of Current Research in Malaysia (CREAM) Awards by the Ministry of Higher Education Malaysia for year 2017.

CREAM Awards are accorded to scholarly journals published by Malaysian scholarly publishers showing high performance on publications based on identified criteria outlined by the Malaysian Citation Centre. The awards were first introduced in 2015.

Last year, Journal of Physical Science was also selected as one of the winners.

This year, 18 journals were selected as the recipient of CREAM Awards 2017.

This accolade is an epitome of the journal’s commitment to become a major platform in producing quality research and publications.

The award-giving ceremony was held at Putrajaya International Conference Centre (PICC), Kuala Lumpur on 5 October 2017, and officiated by Dato’ Seri Idris Jusoh, Malaysia’s Higher Education Minister.

In the same ceremony, the Editor-in-Chief of Journal of Physical Science, Professor Dr. Abdul Latif Ahmad, was also a recipient of Malaysia’s Research Star Awards, an individual award given to influential researchers making a major impact in the scholarly arena.

Journal of Physical Science Publication Wins Best Article Awards

We are delighted to announce that a publication of Journal of Physical Science, Ultrasound-assisted Extraction of Oil from Calophyllum inophyllum Seeds: Statistical Optimisation using Box-Behnken Design, has been announced winner of Best Article for Science, Technology and Medicine category in the 2016 Anugerah Penerbitan Ilimiah Malaysia MAPIM-KPT (Malaysia’s Scholarly Publications MAPIM-KPT Awards 2016).

The article, written by three researchers—Faiznur Fuad, Khairiah Abd. Karim and Mashitah Mat Don—edged out 27 other short listed articles published by various journals in Malaysia for the category.

The award ceremony was organised at the Duyong & Marina Resort, Kuala Terengganu, Terengganu, and was officiated by the Ministry of Higher Education Malaysia, Dato’ Seri Idris Jusoh.

The Journal of Physical Science and the publisher, Penerbit Universiti Sains Malaysia congratulate the authors on their awards. The award is a recognition to researchers who have shown great initiative in publishing high-impact research, and to the journal as a platform for high-quality publications.
